The 13th Annual Pocono Mountains Film Festival will be held at the beautiful Camelback Resort on Friday, October 23rd and Saturday October 24th, 2015.
This year’s PMFF Honorees are:  Rhonda Ross/Music Career Achievement Award, Patrik-Ian Polk/Best Director  for Pocono Mountains, Film Festival, October 23 & 24, 2015‘Blackbird’ (which starred  Isaiah Washington, Mo’Nique, and Julian Walker), Derrick Simmons/Film Career Achievement Award, Gary Smith/ Gary in the Morning Radio/Daniel Pearl Multimedia Award, Irene Gandy/ The Queen of Stage & Production Excellence.  She began her career in 1968 as a publicist with the Negro Ensemble Company and has worked on over 100 Broadway shows.

Honorary Award Recipients for Advocates for a Better America: Dr. Carlos and Dr.Alma Colon/ Prison Ministry, Deborah Cofer/Humanitarian Literary Achievement, Sharone Glasco / Humanitarian “Nat’l Council of Negro Women” Chief William Parrish/ Humanitarian Community Leadership, Dr. Asaph Womack, Humanitarian/ “Project Save a Life” Robin Womack-Young Humanitarian/ “Project Save a Life”.

The Pocono Mountains Film Festival will showcase full feature length, documentary’s and short films that represent some of the best independent films in the industry. There will be two days of special events opening on October 23rd, 2015, with the acknowledgements and appreciation to all Veterans. The Opening Film is “Clipped Wings they do fly.” All proceeds to benefit “Saint Frances Residence for Homeless Veterans” in Scranton Pennsylvania and the Valor Clinic Foundation assists Homeless Veterans in Stroudsburg Pennsylvania.
Saturday, October 24th, 2015, will have the Official Opening Film Short: “Love for Passion,” following the screening of all PMFF’s Indie Film selections and Workshop with Micky Hyman and David Saperstein.  There will be an afternoon V.I.P. Private Party hosted by Florence Anthony, with the festival’s Honorary Celebrities and Advocates for a Better America recipients. Later that evening, there will be an Honorary Awards Dinner & Red Carpet Media photo-op.  Also on board is Rainey Roo-Productions. Awards will be presented to Filmmakers for the best Screenplay, Full Feature, Film Short, Documentary, Music video and Christian Film.
